100 Miles With New TEchnology For Batteries
There is a new battery in the automotive town and this one is the brainchild, creation, and product of Technology Research Laboratories, or TRL. This new battery is not yet in the market but it has already been made known by TRL that they are going to soon offer a new kind of battery for vehicles. Of course, it is not surprising because most manufacturers do first announce their new products – whether it be a new vehicle or some new Dodge parts – and they would then take their time to actually let the public see what this new product really is.
According to TRL, this new product of theirs is an innovation that would help battery manufacturers to get more sales. After all, consumers would surely be rushing to buy a battery that could run for a real long time and could be used even by hybrid electric vehicles. All these have been made possible because of the new kind of battery technology that TRL developed. And if the technology is applied, you would then be able to create one power source that is less costly and can be used for a longer time compared to the usual batteries one can find in the market right now. The company also does boast that this new technology of theirs also provide much safety which is very essential.
If you are thinking that such a technology could only benefit those people who own vehicles for their personal uses, then you should think again. You see, according to TRL, their new battery technology could also be used to manufacture and produce batteries for hybrid electric vehicles, as previously mentioned, as well as for commercial and industrial vehicles.
Compared to the conventional batteries that abound in the market, the batteries that could be created with TRL’s technology are actually produced using some principles on physical chemistry that the company uses. The technology also does make use of materials that are easily found in the market and need no materials that are quite expensive. You see, TRL did disclose that to create their batteries with their new technology need very ordinary materials like carbon and plastic. The company also does say that with their new battery technology, creating batteries for vehicles would also mean being friendlier to the environment. Despite such characteristics, the new battery actually can stand and survive through a great amount of electrical abuse.
Tried on a hybrid electric car, the new battery would work really well. And if TRL continues to produce such a revolutionary type of battery, the industry would certainly be leaning towards hybrid electric cars. The only problem though with this kind of vehicles is that in previous years, power sources are quite rare and come with a high price. TRL does promise that if you use their battery on a hybrid electric vehicle, you would find yourself speeding through 75 miles to 100 miles per hour.

Childrens Vitamins – Teaching Nutrition to Children
More than adults, children need to develop healthy food habits. Equipping them with the ability to make the right food choices is one of the best legacies you can leave them. Yet parents are at a loss how to go about providing nutritional education, because they themselves do not know what the right food choices are, or do not practice making it.
Children pass up food that are richest in the vitamins and minerals they need in order to grow into healthy adults: fruits, vegetables, lean meat, and dairy products. Why wouldn’t they if they are perpetually surrounded by a bewildering array of attractively packaged processed foods or their images?
Let’s put ourselves for a moment in the child’s shoes. What in the world of food do we see? What else but drive-through fast foods and highly processed items, such as: pizza, ice cream, hot dogs, fries, potato chips, cakes, cookies, candy, and the all-important caffeinated, sugar-laden soda.
Where in the food pyramid do these types of food belong? The answer is, nowhere, if we’ll be strict about it, or, somewhere, but questionably represented as the slenderest of slices. That means they should make up just a fraction of a person’s daily food intake! However, these foods are being consumed in large amounts; we only need to look at how children look today.
So, we shouldn’t be surprised if we find that many of our children aren’t getting the right amount of nutrients required for their mental and physical development. (One telltale sign that children are making the wrong food choices: the increasing ranks of the overweight among them.) We need essential vitamins and minerals, and while the human body can produce these on its own, many of the important vitamins and minerals can be gotten from food.
Vitamin D is essential for the development of strong teeth and bones. The incidence of rickets, a disease once thought to be under control, is rising. Its symptoms? Soft, brittle, and deformed bones. A child with vitamin D deficiency would exhibit a thin and soft skull. An improperly formed skull can cause the teeth to grow improperly too. It does not stop there; the wrists, ribs, knees and ankles may grow abnormally.
Did you know that all bodily functions and developmental processes depend on vitamins? These include vision, red blood cell and growth hormone production, and development of the immune, circulatory and digestive systems. Because other vitamin deficiencies in children may not exhibit obvious effects as vitamin D deficiency, many parents are unaware of their children’s state of health.
You’ll need to take action if your child’s diet consists mainly of the food items listed above. You can begin by introducing vitamin-dense foods and a daily multivitamin supplement that’s specially formulated for juveniles. Choose one that tastes good and that is either chewable or easy to swallow.
For more information on what you, as a parent, should know about Healthy Eating and Nutrition for your Children visit Nutritional Vitamin Supplement Guide and find out what happens if your children do not get the nutrition that they need to grow up fit and healthy.
Start Up a Travel Photography Business
Too many people have the idea that being paid to take photographs of exotic places is the ideal job. It may take years of effort to be paid by magazines such as the National Geographic, but are there better ways to become a travel photographer. As most people have more leisure time, more holiday time, and more disposable income, the demand for travel photographs has increased dramatically. Not only are they in demand for travel brochures, but they’re also used extensively in other advertising copy.
Images necessary for sale and publication require rather more skill than those applied to standard holiday snaps. “The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes but in having new eyes.” Was a quote by the French novelist Marcel Proust, and it appears to be of particular use to the travel photographer.
Investigate the possibilities of becoming a contracted photographer at Lonely Planet Images. Lonely Planet Images is a digital library of travel photography. They have submission guidelines available for download at their website. They are a subsidiary of what used to known as the Lonely Planet Guide, and currently have 400 photographers on contract.
You can also increase your chances of breaking into the very lucrative travel market, by entering competitions such as the Travel photographer of the Year . There closing date for submissions is September 5th 2005.
A camera is merely a box, that captures light, and in a studio, it is very easy to manipulate light. The reality of location photography is that it is generally expensive; you have the expenses of air tickets, hotels and meals on top of normal expenses. At the end of the day you are at the mercy of weather, no one wants to see their ideal location subject to rain clouds.
When we talk of light in terms of travel photography we are talking about intensity, as most travel shots are taken outdoors, In general there is harsh direct sunlight and diffused soft light. Harsh light is when the sun is directional, and it is great for capturing deep contrasts between light and shadows. With this type of shot, it is difficult to judge the exposure. If you direct your exposure towards the light, that will leave your shadows without any depth or definition. Conversely if you use the correct exposure for shadow, then the light areas will be without detail, giving a vaguely sinister result to the image.
Unfortunately your drawback here is film, the human eye is capable of registering contrast to a ratio of 800:1, slide film is capable of only 30:1, which is slightly improved, by going digital at a ratio of 40:1. Professional photographs have all passionate views on their favourite brand name of film in this situation, but they are all in accord that you need a slower speed films, as they record better contrast and grain. ISO/ASA rating of a hundred is about the fastest film to use. It is important that you use a good photovoltaic cell (either a separate light meter or one inbuilt into the camera). Once the light meter has registered the light, the camera is capable of indicating the aperture opening required, and the shutter speed. The speed of the film is also taken into this equation. You need to measure the darkest and the lightest areas.
Your immediate decision is whether to correctly expose the dark and emphasize the shadow and leave the light areas washed out or to correctly expose the light and leave the shadows without definition.
Using light correctly greatly enhances your colors, the diffused lighting just after and dawn and just before sunset is helpful here. The technical reasons for this are simple when the sun is nearest to the horizon; the light has a greater distance to travel through pollution, ozone, water vapour and dust. This means that wavelengths at the violet end of the spectrum are more scattered, than the colours at the red end. This allows the blues to absorb more colour than at the red end, so the sunlight appears more golden. To study the more technical aspect of lighting, you may like to take an online course.
An inexpensive, but invaluable tool for the outdoor photographer is a polarizer, as they improve the ambient lighting. They will always emphasise the blue of the sky, whilst minimalizing glare. This will allow you to capture the colors you want to make a saleable photograph. More importantly it reduces the contrast in a photograph by creating a more even tone, it restricts the very much lighter and darker tones, in the image. Mike Johnston gives an excellent technical explanation of this in his excellent online course. He has also written an excellent tutorial on color theory, which explains the use of color to improve the quality of your outdoor images. Photographers who use digital imaging will also find this article tremendously helpful in enplaning how to improve the final image with regard to colour.
Research is a great tool for the travel photographer, and the Internet is a great help, but dont forget to use local knowledge, ask local taxi drivers, as well as the tourist boards for inside information on a location. City photography is also included in the aspect of travel photography and here taxi drivers knowledge can be invaluable. You can also try and coincide a trip with local festivals. If you can oversee a vantage point you can use a zoom lens to great effect without the embarrassment of having to foist a camera into someones face. Also local festivals give opportunities to capture a part of the local culture.

A Good Leader Knows The Teams Colours.Barbara WhiteLeadership can be a very challenging task. As leaders we dont always get to choose who is on our team. In fact very often a leader inherits a team, of which most of the members have been there far longer than the leader, and may even know more about the work than the leader. Whatever the situation, one of the responsibilities of a leader is to motivate the team to all work together towards the common goal. This can be a daunting challenge. So often the team is comprised of very diverse members, each with their own strengths, weaknesses, and work styles. The team dynamics are also often complicated by internal disagreements and personal conflicts. The leader, not only has work with this group of people, but also needs to achieve the results expected by their superiors.
Leaders can great benefit by being able to identify the types of personality characteristics of team members. By understanding the basic personality types, the leader can use individual strengths of members for the good of the team, as well as assign tasks that individual team members naturally excel in. A leader can also learn to communicate in a way that is motivating, by taking into account the needs, values and working preferences of different team members.
A good leader will see the greatest results by working and utilizing the strengths and working style characteristics of the personalities on the team. By correctly positioning the individual member strengths and compensating for weaknesses, the leader can bring the team into a productive balance and harmony.
A brief overview of the different values and working styles of the four main personality types demonstrates the importance of this knowledge being part of the successful leadership toolbox. The four types of personality will be described using the colours Gold, Blue, Green and Orange.
The strong Gold employee takes work and responsibility very seriously. Gold personalities want to contribute, be part of the team, and to be successful and productive. They respond well to recognition, rewards and incentives. However Gold team members need well defined responsibilities and structure, firm expectations and timelines as well as being reassured from authority that they are on the right track.
The strong Blue personality needs an open, social atmosphere to be able work well. Relationships are very important for them, and they need the freedom to be able to nurture relationships with coworkers, customers and employers. Conflict and intense competition are painful for a strong Blue, but they will thrive in a positive, creative, service orientated atmosphere.
A strong Green personality is more noted for expertise rather than people skills. They are excellent working with facts, data, research and analytical projects. Greens shine in their ability for designing, understanding complex systems and strategy. Facts are of utmost importance for the Green, but they have a weakness for routine follow through and are somewhat insensitive in social interactions.
Orange team members are noticeable by their energy, skill and creativity. A key factor for an Orange is the freedom to be able to use their skills and abilities. If there is too much structure, or their boss is very authoritarian, the orange personality feels blocked and does not function well. Orange personalities like people and work well in a spirit of teamwork, competition and camaraderie. They are action orientated, though and become impatient with prolonged talking and detailed administrative tasks.
A leader, by knowing the colours of his team, can use this knowledge to blend the team members into a unified, well coordinated picture poised for success. By facilitating each team member to function in their areas of natural strength and motivating them by communicating in a way that inspires harmony and team work, the leader is well on the way to achieving extraordinary results.

Geranium has been used for centuries in skin care
Geranium
Geranium also called Cranesbill (genus Geranium) any of a group of about 300 species of perennial herbs or shrubs in the family Geraniaceae, native mostly to subtropical southern Africa. Geraniums are among the most popular of bedding and greenhouse plants. The closely related genus Pelargonium contains some 280 species of annual, biennial, and perennial herbaceous plants that are commonly called geraniums.? Geraniums are cultivated not only as ornamentals but for the aromatic oils extracted from their foliage and flowers for use in flavorings and perfumes.
Geranium has a rose like aroma with mint undertones. An important ingredient in many skin care products, it provides balancing properties to both dry and oily complexions. Add a few drops to face cleansers to supplement their effects. Geranium Oil is distilled from the leaves of Pelargonium Graveolens. This variety of geranium is imported from Egypt and is commonly used by aroma therapists. Geranium is used for all type of skin conditions and it is also useful with pre menstrual tension and menopausal problems such as depression.
People suffering from pain following an outbreak of shingles may get relief by using topical geranium oil. In the new study, 30 adults with post-herpetic neuralgia were assigned to receive one of five topical treatments. Pain was reduced in all participants receiving geranium oil and the degree of pain reduction was proportional to the amount of geranium oil in the topical mixture. Thus, those using 100% geranium oil had greater pain relief than those using 10% geranium oil. All groups receiving geranium oil had significant reductions in spontaneous and evoked pain, compared with those using plain mineral oil. A few minor skin reactions occurred in those using geranium oil, but all reactions resolved within one hour.
Geranium Benefits
Geranium has been used for centuries in skin care. Geranium strength lies in its ability to revitalize tissue. Geranium? is excellent for the skin, and its aromatic influence helps release negative memories. Geranium? has often been used to ease the effect of PMS. Geranium used in skin care products for both its fragrance and cleansing properties. Geranium has anti-depressant, astringent, antiseptic, deodorant , diuretic, haemostatic, tonic and vulnerary qualities. Geranium essential oil has a healthy effect on the mind and nervous system. It relieves anxiety, and depression. Due to its balancing effect on the hormonal system Geranium will both help with heavy menstrual flow, as well as menopausal problems. Geranium is very beneficial for the kidney and liver, as well as the lymphatic system. The question I hear most often from mystery shoppers is, “How can I get a cruise shop?” There are very few cruise shops available-I have talked to mystery shopping executives who have never seen one. But there are many very desirable high-end shops, including resorts and spas, that offer “free” travel, accommodations and other benefits, and sometimes even a significant fee.
Lots of new shoppers are enticed by the idea of landing one of these high-value shops. So, how do you get these assignments? Before you hand over your credit card information to someone dangling the promise of a cruise or resort shop in front of you, think about this.
Imagine you are a mystery shopping company owner or scheduler, and you have a cruise shop assignment to fill. Would you:
a) Post the listing to a public job board and hire a shopper with whom you have never worked before;
b) Randomly award the shop like a raffle prize to one of the 50,000 shoppers already in your database;
c) Do it yourself-after all it’s a cruise; or
d) Give the shop to one of the shoppers who can always be relied upon to do a great job for you.
OK, in some cases the answer might be c. That is one of the perks that comes with being in charge. But there is another reason why they might choose to do it themselves.
First, let’s talk about how mystery shopping companies select shoppers for high-end shops. They have to choose someone who will do everything required (and these types of shops can be complicated) and will turn in a detailed, well-written report. They can not take the chance that the shopper will do a less than outstanding job. That means that they will choose a shopper who has worked for them (usually many times) in the past, has always done their assignments on time, follows all shop guidelines, and has the writing skills needed for the detailed narratives often required for these shops.
Think about it this way: If a shopper screws up on a $50 dinner shop and does not turn in a report acceptable to the client, the mystery shopping company will probably not reimburse the shopper. That usually makes for an unhappy shopper. Now imagine that the shopper messed up a $3,000 cruise or resort shop. The mystery shopping company can not afford to pay the shopper’s expenses if they will not be paid by the client. But the shopper probably can not afford to be out of pocket $3,000, either. No one wins in this situation. (That is the other reason they may choose to do it themselves.)
So how can you get high-end hotel, resort, spa and (maybe) cruise shops? Make your applications complete and correct. Provide an excellent writing sample. Do your assignments on time. Read and follow the written guidelines for every shop. Follow the scenarios you are given. Make your reports the best they can be–plenty of detail, and written with proper spelling, grammar and punctuation. Help out your scheduler when she is in a jam. Pick up a last-minute shop or two when someone else flakes (and don’t be a flake yourself). Be the go-to shopper.
Do a great job on the little jobs, and the big jobs will follow.

I met a European couple (the guy from the Netherlands and the girl from UK) in Australia a couple of years ago. They are now planning to come visit South Africa later this year and I thought it may be useful for European travellers to hear a South Africans opinion of a holiday in South Africa.
Firstly you need to understand that Im an outdoor man. Although I live in a city, everything I do for pleasure will be to get away from city life. While in Australia, I read somewhere that If you cant get lucky in Darwin, you should stop trying. So if youre looking for big, busy cities to party, dont follow my advice and if you want to get lucky, go to Darwin.
I believe anybody coming to visit South Africa should try to spend a couple of days in Knysna and the Drakensberg. Although there are many other places worth visiting, these two are my favourites.
Most international flights in South Africa arrive or depart in Johannesburg or Cape Town and I would recommend you arriving in Cape Town and departing from Joburg. For a bit of wine tasting, do a 1 or 2 day wine trip to Stellenbosch or something around Cape Town and then head off to Mossel Bay (personally I would spend 1-2 days in Hartenbos, just outside of Mossel Bay). Cape Town waters are pretty cold due to the Atlantic ocean, so if you want to spend some time on the beach, dont even bother before Mossel Bay. However, I would save my beach-time for Plettenberg bay and Jeffreys bay. Mossel Bay is around 400Kms from Cape Town. From Mossel Bay, Id go straight to Knysna (+/- 120Kms), although there are a couple of beautiful places along the way, so it depends on your time and budget.
I grew up in Knysna and though it is a much bigger and commercialised town now, it is still a stunning place to visit. If you like hiking, spend time in Knysna. When I was a little boy, our family got lost on a hiking trail and at some point we had to cut through an immensely dense fern growth. Being too young to know the dangers, I thought it was the most amazing thing because we were walking (or crawling) on top of these ferns probably 1 meter or so above the ground and ever so often I would see our little fox terrier down on the ground looking up at us. The Knysna forest has an amazing variety of plants and trees and on many of the hiking trails you will constantly be covered by a huge tree-top covering. In my opinion it is beautiful and I can spend many hours just enjoying the beauty in a small area. The town itself is now well developed and has many activities for tourist. Many stunning restaurants on the waterfront and make sure you have a couple of drinks on a sun-downer trip on the lagoon. Try to spend at least 2 days in Knysna.
Your next stop must be Plettenberg Bay. Its only about 60Kms from Knysna and with its stunning beaches, Plett is one of my favourite bird-watching destinations Those would be the bikini-clad type of birds, of course. I must admit that I only know Plett for its beaches, but just for my love of beaches and birds, I would gladly spend 2-3 days in Plett.
After Plett you may want to look into Storms River mouth, but Ive only been there twice many years ago. There is a friggin big tree there in case youre interested in seeing an 800 year-old Outeniqua Yellowwood. It is also a beautiful area for hiking similar to the Knysna forests.
Many year ago I used to go spear fishing in Oyster Bay, +/- 120Kms from Plett and only a couple of kilometers from Jeffreys Bay (world famous surfing destination) and recently I developed a website for Oyster Bay Lodge. On my second visit to Oyster Bay Lodge I arrived a couple of hours too early, so I went for a walk on the beach and I was reminded of what a beautiful area this is. While walking next to the water, I had a seal following me for a long time in the waves just meters from me. Okay, I know a wild seal couldnt care less about some human walking on dry land, but we must have accidentally been moving at the same speed. The beach just stretches on for miles and miles. On the one side there are some rocks for fishing and spear fishing, but to the other side you just see kilometres of sandy beach. After my walk on the beach I went up to the lodge, but the owner had gone out, so I went for another walk in the bush on the lodge itself. I had only spent a couple of hours there, but the impression I get is that you can spend many hours of hiking and not get bored. Oyster Bay is very secluded and is ideal for people who really want to get away into nature. It is, however, only a couple of minutes drive from Jeffreys bay, St Francis and Humansdorp if youre looking for shops or more people.
Your next move will depend on how much you like the outdoors compared to cities. Port Elizabeth is a fairly small city by most standards and its around 80 Kms from Oyster Bay, so most places youd want to visit in the area can be reached from both locations. Whichever way, make sure you visit the Addo Elephant park and Shamwari game reserve for a bit of a safari and the big five.
From Port Elizabeth, I would fly up to Joburg and head out of the country, or if your time/budget allows, jump on a plane to Durban and work your way up to Joburg.
As much as I loved Durban many years ago, I personally would not spend any more time there. Do your own research about Durban. Beautiful beaches, hot waters and hot weather almost all year long, but I would rather go up north for some scuba diving in Sodwana. Enough on that, from Durban I would rent a car and travel up to Joburg, with a 3-5 day stop in the Drakensberg.
I spent a couple of days in the Drakensberg with a friend once and on the first morning I went for a walk before sunrise. When I got back to the camp a couple of hours later, my friend had woken up and was standing at the side of the tent and waved for me to be quiet. He was busy taking photographs of a couple of guinifowl and was amazed that we were so close to nature. I was amazed that he would be impressed by something so small. During my first walk I had sat on the top of a little hill to watch the sunrise and had a deer walking around a couple of meters from me. I had also watched a falcon gracefully flying around between the hills, seen quite a few rabbits and dassies (dont know their English name) and monkeys and I had had a swim in a natural pool below a fair-sized waterfall. If you like waterfalls and little mountain streams, the Drakensberg is a must!! The worlds second highest waterfall can be found in the Drakensberg
The Drakensberg is about halfway between Johannesburg and Durban. Very roughly, its about 350KMs in either direction.
This is just one possible trip if youre coming to visit South Africa. As I mentioned, there are many other beautiful and interesting places to visit in our country. If your main objective is a safari and seeing the big five, then look into the Kruger National Park and surrounding game reserves. If you want to go scuba diving there is absolutely NO choice, go to Sodwana bay.

Our Guide to Vitamins for Women
Vitamins for women are something that every health conscious woman should strongly consider.
Many health experts nowadays recommend that people at least take a multivitamin supplement, but, in our opinion, there are many other more sophisticated supplements on that market jammed pack with nutrients that go far beyond what you can get in your typical multivitamin supplement.
However, the basic vitamins and minerals are a good place to start to ensuring optimal health.
Women in particular should pay attention to getting enough of the minerals calcium and magnesium. This is because as women get older they tend to suffer from fragile bones more readily than men. At its worst, middle aged women and beyond suffer higher rates of osteoporosis.
Other important minerals include: zinc, copper, and selenium.
Vitamins for Women
When it comes to vitamins for women, look to add Vitamin C, E, folic acid (especially for women who are pregnant or thinking about becoming pregnant), and a broad spectrum of the B Vitamins.
Be careful not to take too much of the fat soluble vitamins like E and A because too much of a good thing is a bad thing….and the accumulating of these vitamins can lead to toxicity.
Other Nutrients
Women who are transitioning through menopause may want to look into herbal extracts that are not only used to promote good health but have been shown to help balance female hormones.
Some of these herbs include black Cohosh, dong quai, and wild yam.
Antioxidants
Any good anti aging program should go beyond just vitamins for women. This is because vitamins in themselves (although necessary) are weak antioxidants.
As you may know, antioxidants are what neutralize free radicals in the body. Free radicals, if left unchecked, can wreak havoc in the body, leading to cellular damage.
This damage has been postulated as a primary cause of major diseases, such as heart disease and cancer. Free radical damage has even been implicated in the aging process itself!
Some powerful anti aging supplements to consider using are L-Carnosine, alpha lipoic acid, resveratrol, Co-Enzyme Q10 and many others.
These have powerful health effects on the body in numerous ways and are much more potent antioxidants than vitamins are.
The older women get, the more these nutrients may benefit them because they tend to deplete in the body with age….or the body cannot utilize them as readily as it once could at a younger age.
Although women in their twenties may feel like they don’t need to worry about more than basic vitamins for women, starting a good anti aging program that includes sophisticated anti aging nutrients may help offset the ravages of aging before they happen.

Every Night Football: Setting Boundaries In A Relationship
Is college or professional football becoming an everyday event in your household? Is your living room more like a sports arena than a living space? Perhaps it isn’t football, but rather another activity that has found its way into your life, or that of your spouse, and you would prefer to see less of the intruder and more of your mate. Setting boundaries in your relationship is important for both you and your spouse.
Rather than watching sports every night, perhaps your significant other would be willing to record the event and watch it at a later date. When you only have a limited amount of time together due to hectic work or everyday schedules, it’s important that the time you do spend with one another be special and uninterrupted.
So, just what happens when your sweetheart would rather spend the evening in front of the television rather than with you? If it’s an occasional occurrence, there’s no need to worry. In fact, you can use this time to find something that you enjoy. If there’s another television in your household, it may be a good time to catch up on your favorite programs or simply read a good book. There is nothing wrong with spending some time enjoying an interest away from your spouse. The exception would be if this interest were to consistently prevent the two of you from spending quality time together.
The best way to set boundaries in a relationship is to sit down with your spouse and discuss the issue without starting an argument. Explain that you are feeling neglected and would rather spend more time together enjoying each other’s company. Rather than asking your mate to leave his/her interests all together, simply suggest that you should set aside a date night each week. This will not only produce anticipation, but will keep the relationship thriving and happy. If you are like most couples, you would obviously want to spend more than one night each week in one another’s company. The fact is that life is rarely like the movies and, these days, couples really do have to make time for each other. It’s not as easy as coming home from work, putting the kids to bed and cuddling up on the couch with your mate. There are bills to be paid, housework to be done and other activities that may otherwise prevent you from spending every moment of the day with your special someone.
When setting boundaries in a relationship, don’t forget to discuss the issue, agree on a compromise and honor your commitment to put more effort into the relationship. Perhaps it is football or maybe the term is simply a metaphor used to describe another kink in your relationship. Whatever the issue, letting your partner know where you stand will earn you the respect and attention that you deserve from the one you love.

Home Improvements And Decorating Tips From Japan
Home decorating the kitchen, bathroom, and laundry-room all start with the appliances. However, with so many new, energy efficient, and ecologically friendly products coming out in the near future, one wonders if they shouldn’t take a look at some of the new designs and decorate and design these rooms to accommodate the new appliances.
Americans crave the security of round-the-clock comforts. They want convenience at a fingertip, just in case they are needed. The most ever-present example of American’s love affair with fingertip-gratification is the hot water heater.
Unlike valets who get intermittent curbside rests, water heaters just sit there, forever cooking gallons of hot water, ready at any time. After all, we never know when we might wake at 2am and decide that we want a shower, to do a load of laundry, and run the dishwasher.
It is time Americans embrace the new home ecotechnologies? Notorious for their thriftiness and love of high-tech gizmos, the Japanese have already discovered that going green is good for the environment and the pocket book.
Many Japanese families use “tankless” water heaters that hang on a wall and heat water when needed. There is no reservoir. The water is heated the moment the faucet turns on, and the heating stops when the faucet is turned off.
Further savings can be obtained by installing flow reducing faucets.
The combination toilet/bathroom sink is another common fixture in Japanese homes. The toilet/sink is flushed and you wash your hands with water that is used to fill the tank. Some models incorporate a flush lever that swings left for a half-tank flush and right for the full flush.
The Japanese also have motion sensors that turn on the lights and heat when they sense body heat in the room. Some even follow the person, heating the area where the person is occupying.
The Japanese also use washing machines that spin clothing dry, almost. Reducing the need for long times in the dryer.
The Japanese have a new commercial laundering system that requires no detergent, works with cold water, and recycles water. The system, patented by the Florida firm, Tri-O-Clean, saturates wash water with ozone, an oxidant used to disinfect drinking and swimming-pool water. Water from the washer is recovered, filtered, replenished with ozone, and reused for future washes. This reduces water use and water pollution.
New products on the horizon include microwaves that dry clothing. This type of microwave will accommodate zippers, reduce drying time by 25%, and reduce wear on delicate fabrics.
Ultrasonic dishwashers gently bombard grimy dish grease with high-frequency sound waves that create vapor bubbles which dislodge cake-on grime. This will reduce hot water use by 25 to 50 percent.
Then there are the new refrigerators. Frigidaire and Whirlpool are neck and neck in the race to produce the first chlorofluorocarbon-free superefficient refrigerator.
The new products will have different requirements than our current products. For example, a ‘tankless? water heater hangs on the wall, and is about 3? square by about 1? deep. This is a great space saver, and can even move the water heater out of a basement into the laundry room.
When most people think of home renovations and designs they think of manipulating and decorating space.
